While both Jerry McLamb, seen above with the ad he placed in the Fayetteville newspaper, and Edgar Wisenant, pictured on our right, were dedicated Christans, they had a blind spot........ That blind spot was their own health, and all the Bible had to say about eating pork.... They were willing to believe that none of the dietary laws in the Laws of Moses applied to them, and to Christians in general.

Their belief in the Rapture of the Saints was made more sweet by the idea that no tribulation would come upon them, and on "True Believers".

Edgar's Diabetes went out of control, and Jerry McLamb eventually had heart coronary bypass surgery!

Thousands of pigs were killed by Hurricane Floyd. The region through which the Cape Fear river runs is noted for its pig farms, and for Lundy's, with its delicious hams and pork products.

After the hurricane, not only did all these pig

carcasses have to be found, and properly

disposed of, but the contamination of the river,

and the ground water, and some wells, by

pig manure and E-coli was severe!
