JESUS WAS INDEED THE WORLD'S GREATEST

HOLINESS PREACHER!

AS THE ACCOUNTS OF HIS TEACHINGS IN ALL FOUR GOSPELS PLAINLY SHOW TO BE THE CASE

L

SAUL OF TARSUS

DOES "JESUS THE HOLINESS PREACHER" A GREAT DISSERVICE BY PICTURING JESUS AS "ONLY" A SACRIFICIAL LAMB!

(A Picture of Jesus driving the Money-Changers out of the Temple)

IF YOU CAN BEAR TO TURN YOUR BACK ON PAUL'S CAREFULLY THOUGHT OUT BUT SEDUCTIVE DELUSION OF A "LAMB-LIKE" JESUS WHO SAYS NOTHING, JUST DIES --YOU'LL DISCOVER THE REAL PREACHER, NOT PAUL, BUT JESUS!

There was generally a crowd of people, men, women, and children gathered around Jesus in the stories in the Gospels.

No one who has read Paul's Epistles has ever "accused" Paul of having anything at all to do with the writing of the four Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John -- but Jesus, on the other hand, is the subject and hero of all of them!  Not a DEAD CHRIST but a LIVING CHRIST!

The Christ of the Gospels is busy meeting people day in and day out, getting in their fishing boats with them.  Giving them pointers on where and when to fish.  Perhaps helping them to mend their nets. And cooking them breakfast after a disappointing night's work.

Just like any really successful PENTECOSTAL PREACHER would, and does!  If fishing is a congregation's means of feeding their children and paying the rent.

When the fishing boat is emptied of its fish, and the nets are drying or being mended, then its time to preach to anyone willing to listen.  True if you're a Pentecostal Preacher and really have something to preach about. Not true if you're looking for a break or a good time, or something to get intoxicated on or someone to get intoxicated with.

Jesus in the Gospels rarely if ever passed up an opportunity to talk about His Father, God, or tell moral stories about how things should be done -- Treat other people as you would like to be treated yourself!

Jesus in the Gospels was followed about by women of all sorts, some of them not married, and some of them ladies of the street, working at the world's oldest profession that requires little schooling and no College degree.

Jesus in the Gospels allowed such women to touch him, wash his feet, and kiss him as they're crying about a life that's less than what they thought it would be as young girls.  Few Pentecostal Preachers would turn away such women either, if they want a better life and the Holy Spirit's help.

On the other hand, Jesus of the Gospels had nothing but scorn for men who always had SEX on their minds, and are seeking out easy prey among other men's wives and sweethearts.

Matthew 5:27 "You have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery; 28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart."

That's Practical HOLINESS.  Take good care of what you've got, what's yours legally and emotionally, but leave other people's stuff and lovers alone. This is true of all cultures and religions except those who want to cater, for profit, on Western men's depravity.  And if you're tempted to walk out on that thin ice, don't expect Jesus to come to your rescue!

Jesus didn't mince words when he was dealing with hypocrites.  And neither do most Holiness Preachers who are worthy of that name.

Jesus always, it seems, was able to turn what could become boring Ethical Advice into a Good Story with perhaps a good laugh hiding in that Story in some unsuspecting place -- you laugh, but timidly, for you find yourself to be the villain or dupe.

Any good Pentecostal Preacher will use Jesus' stories and parables to good advantage and the Holy Ghost will give them more from the same boundless WISDOM that Jesus used so expertly.

Saul of Tarsus, AKA the "Apostle Paul" never heard Jesus preach during those Gospel years, and was content to let his Gentile converts believe that if they were baptized in the name of Jesus, left the whores alone, avoided same-sex lovers, and took MASS regularly, their ticket was punched and at death, ETERNAL LIFE would be theirs.  Or almost that simple.

Paul would never make it as a Holiness Preacher today. What's more, people singing all at once, speaking in ecstatic tongues, and falling occasionally on the floor (or out the widow) botherd him.

"Do that on your own time, not on mine!" is what Paul would say.

And "I do not allow women to teach,"  "Not in my churches!" "Not EVER!"

Jesus would just not do it that way.  When he arose from the dead, a woman was waiting for him by the Garden Tomb.  Peter and John showed up a bit later, a day late and a dollar short, as most men are apt to do.

When Mary Magdalene showed up in that room, the men, scared of being out where they might be arrested,  are discussing their options.  They hear a knock on the door, and it's Mary, with a message from the living Jesus, that they all asumed was dead, because they had watched him be crucified.  "Hey boys, Jesus told me to tell you'll he'll meet you in Galilee."

And then, just when they're making a good case of the probability that Mary is Crazy, perhaps one of those seven devils has returned.  Into the middle of the discussion walks Jesus.  And nobody opened the door for him, he was just there. Holes in his hands, hole in his side, holes perhaps in his feet.  But full of good cheer, hungry, and ready to bless that piece of fish and chunk of honeycomb they found for him somewhere.

We can't let our BEST HOLINESS preacher starve, now can we?  And about 40 days later, just as he told them it was going to happen, quite a few of them became

Holiness Preachers!

Full of the Holy Ghost, speaking in other tongues, and acting like intoxicated people.  And indeed they were intoxicated, DRUNK on Jesus' NEW WINE!

In which I show that contrary to the Gospel of Paul in which Faith in what Jesus has done can save us, because Jesus lived a perfect life (which he didn't) that Jesus and Paul, both Essenes, lived by strict Essene rules of conduct.  Essenes believed in GOOD WORKS, not in Faith without works. In a word, they believed in HOLINESS.
