THE ANSWER IS

YES, HE DID!

And he did not hide this message, but put it in a prominent place where everyone can see and read it -- knowing of course that those  who were most guilty of mis-using his Gospel would explain this WARNING away, or apply it to others, not themselves and not their group!  

    2 Thessalonians 2:3 "LET NO MAN DECEIVE YOU by any means: (INCLUDING ME, PAUL, by my deceptive arguments and poor logic) for that day (the END of the AGE) shall not come until there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; (Paul know that the assumption would be made immediately by readers of these words that Paul, like the rest of us, would NEVER use such language to describe his own work and his own false picture of Jesus Christ SO OPENLY and SO BRAZENLY!)

   4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped;

(Paul, because he was originally anti-Christ, and anti-Christian, before he was "converted" by a vision of Christ, and the teaching of Ananias of Damascus, is well able, as he is doing here, to place himself back in that original critical view-point and look objectively at what his present teaching about Christ looks like now, as he's writing this, and will look later, when the Council of Nicaea expands these later!) Jesus against ALL OTHERS! "so that he (Jesus and his Popes) as God (the ultimate claim of the "Divine Trinity" dogma) sitteth in the temple of God (not in the temples [plural] of the Pagan gods [plural] but of the monotheistic Jewish God Jehovah), shewing himself that he is God (the "Divine Trinity" 3 persons as 1 God).
