John 3:16 "For God so loved the WORLD, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting LIFE." John 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the WORLD to condemn the WORLD; but that the WORLD through him might be SAVED."
This made sense to the Ancient Egyptian Pharaohs, who were indeed the beneficiaries of their gods Osiris, Horus, and Isis, pictured above in a typical grouping of their images, often made of GOLD, of which we have a great number of examples, duplicated also in carvings on stone walls in temples and pictures on papyrus. The people could see what the Pharaoh's saw, that the SUN indeed appeared to last or live FOREVER, and the MOON also apparently lasts FOREVER also SO they made the PHARAOH equivalent to the SUN and the PHARAOH'S ROYAL WIFE (generally also his sister) equivalent to the moon. Their first-born son, who would be heir to his father at the father's death, would become HORUS, the "Only-Begotten-Son-of-God" and he was "Only-Begotten" for a very PRACTICAL REASON, there is always ONLY ONE SUN that appears to circle this planet -- SO there could be only ONE designated HORUS, no matter how many real biological sons the Pharaoh and his wife-sister might produce in real life.
Jesus inherited this only-begotten-son designation precisely because of a conference with the Egyptian Theologians Nicodemus-Theudas and his disciple Bartholomew-John Mark, and for NO OTHER REASON! This conference was most likely held at Khirbet Mazin 6 Km. south of the Qumran monastery.
In the Jewish Religion anyone could be called a son of God, because they had a tradition that Yahweh had created all mankind, and that Adam was a son of God. This tradition is honored by Luke in his Genealogy of Jesus specifically in Luke 3:38 "Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of ADAM, which was the son of God."
In the Christian make-over, Jesus, not Yahweh, creates Adam! Dr. Barbara Thiering PhD, who even her worst theological enemies must admit has given a great deal of thought and study to such ideas and problems claims that the high priests of first century thought of themselves as being more the "Sons of God" than other more secular Jewish males of the regular religious-oriented community, and that is why Caiaphas was demanding Jesus' crucifixion as quoted in Matthew 26:63 "--I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God."
Jesus, in this recorded exchange, appears to be quite careful not to use this same priestly claim that Barbara Thiering says Caiaphas himself used, but used another title he had used quite consistently up to this point, calling himself only the Son of man, a term some of the prophets used throughout their books, and could be used by anyone claiming to be the "Messiah of the bloodline of King David" at Qumran, where this trial actually took place. Matthew 26:64 "Jesus said unto him, Thou hast said (which can be interpreted as "You make this claim, I do not!); nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power (where a descendent of King David should be sitting, and coming in the clouds of heaven." (Escorts to the David Kings, as "princes" could also be called "the Cloud" according to Thiering.) Interesting, though, is the last part of what Jesus answered -- "coming in the clouds of heaven." (As "Horus" the SUN-GOD who always "comes" in the clouds of heaven ---EVERY DAY, FOREVER, FOR ETERNITY PAST AND FUTURE!)
Although Jesus has here skillfully avoided Caiaphas verbal trap, tempting Jesus to use Caiaphas own preferred priestly title of "Son of God", he condemned Jesus to be crucified anyway in the following verses. As I said before, "Only-Begotten-Son-of-God" was a historical religious term used only by Egyptian Pharaohs and meant they were the reigning Sun God, "Horus" the only important son, the "heir" of Osiris, his now dead Sun God, "Osiris" and would now be able to claim as his heavenly wife and consort the moon-Goddess Isis, both his mother and his wife. It was the spooky unreality of all this, although coupled in the imagination of the common people with heavenly objects they all could see, the actual sun and moon that made this type of religion popular for thousands of years before Jesus had his little talk with Bartholomew and Nicodemus. And it has still been a major belief for most Christians for another 2000 years after.
Not because the Council of Nicaea and the Roman Catholic Church have been particularly skillful in making it so, but because Jesus and two of his disciples have out-foxed them and planned for this result! My Complete Paraphrased Explanation
John 3:3 "Jesus..said
unto him..Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." Jesus, in verse 3, is referring back to the Jewish version of the creation of the physical world and of mankind. “ Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man (and mankind, or a group of men) be born again, he (and they, this new group of men) cannot see the kingdom of God.” PARAPHRASE: We need a change in theology here, new religious concepts! "Nicodemus, I’m revising the Jewish religion here, and re-creating the world the Egyptian way, with THREE Gods instead of ONE. I will be one of those THREE Gods! Can I count you in? You’re the expert here in Egyptian theology! We’ll need you!"

The Jews, of course, already had a Theology based on One God, a strict, uncompromising God, a "jealous God" Jesus, John-Bartholomew, and Nicodemus-Theudas will here offer the Western World a new religion -- the old Egyptian trinity was about to be re-born!
11 "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak (you and I and Bartholomew here) that we do know (Egyptian Theology), and testify that
we have seen; (the power of the
sun to bring life to all nature here on the
earth), and ye (the Jews, with their distaste for
sun-worshippers), receive not our witness
12 "If I have told you earthly things, and you believe not (“you” being the Jews, the non-sun-worshippers, not Nicodemus and Bartholomew), how shall you believe if I tell you heavenly things?"
13 "And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, --- even the Son of man which is in heaven.” (Another Jesus saying with multi-level meanings) Note that Jesus did not say – “Was in heaven,” or “Will be in heaven” but “IS in heaven”. Right now, present tense! They all three of them, Jesus, Bartholomew, and Nicodemus were already "in heaven" as they spoke together, because the Qumran area was the designated "Heaven" of the Essenes!
The Ancient Egyptian Trinity, of Osiris, Isis, and Horus was great for the Pharaohs, who were promised "Eternal Life" if they led their people to do what these gods desired, but none of the workers, the common people, had any chance at all of receiving for themselves and their children, this heavenly "Gift" of the gods to the Phsaraohs. And so, Jesus and Nicodemus – Theudas – Thaddaeus, and John Mark, “John” – Bartholomew improved the wording to include everyone, “whosoever”, even women and Gentiles! John 3:17 “For God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world, (as had the Jewish religion); but that the world through him might be saved.” (A new “Horus” is now circling the earth in the sky!)
