Sabbath:

Lord of  Shabat...

Would the Lord of the Sabbath Day

break His own DAY?

2 common misconceptions are held in regards to Yeshua

ben Miriam [Jesus Christ to Gentiles] and the Sabbath...

#1 He broke the Sabbath repeatedly, and taught His

disciples to do the same......and...

#2 He changed the Sabbath to the first day of the week,

Sunday, before He ascended to heaven in 40 days.

Both are INCORRECT, and often are promoted by

those who KNOW them to be incorrect!

WE 'LL DO OUR BEST TO SHOW BOTH THESE LIES FOR WHAT THEY REALLY ARE!

..Before 1992 people had an excuse: NOW they don't!

The excuse was that Jesus APPARENTLY heals people on the Sabbath

day in the Gospel of John, and is accused by Scribes and Pharisees

of breaking the SABBATH....However, even this is a flimsy excuse,

since few would quarral with Jesus's ANSWER to these accusations...

"Is it not lawful to do well on the Sabbath Day?"

The logical person will admit that Jesus was not finding fault with either the principle

of Sabbath-keeping, nor with the Day the Sabbath was kept, but only with the

rigidity and disregard for people's welfare shown by some Sabbath-keepers of His day.

IN 1992 SOMETHING HAPPENED THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING REGARDING JESUS!

What changed in 1992 is that NOW we have the

"Gospel Pesher" and can discover the Essene Jesus!

In 1992 Dr. Barbara Thiering PhD published 2

books, "Jesus the Man" in England and Australia,

and"Jesus and the Riddle of the Dead Sea Scrolls"

in the USA...Publicising a new means of looking at

New Testament scripture to read the true historical

meaning....She called this "Gospel Pesher".

The "Dead Sea Scroll" connection is that the Dead Sea

Scrolls found in the Qumran Caves used "peshers" to

explain Old Testament Books, such as Habbakuk, etc.

in a way so these books had other meanings than usual

readers thought...A similar type reasoning and system

allows us to "decode" the Gospel stories and miracles.

In spite of on-going resistance to the real life of Christ,

now revealed for the first time, logical people can know

what some have suspected all along, that Jesus was not

only a Rabbi, an observant Jew, but belonged to the

strictest, most holy sect of Judaism, the Essenes!

And the ESSENES would have evicted Him from

their sect immediately for breaking the Sabbath!

What the "Gospel Pesher" shows!

Again, even without the "Gospel Pesher" the scholars soon found out from studying the Dead

Sea Scrolls, that the Essenes kept their feast days on different dates than the Jews in general.

While Jews used a "moon calendar", with adjustments to make up for lost time, the Essenes

used a "sun calendar" instead, with much smaller adjustments required....The Jews called

all their Holidays "Sabbaths", and since these Holiday "Sabbaths" were on different dates,

and on different days of the week than the Essenes were celebrating, they could indeed

accuse EVERY Essene of "breaking" the regular Jewish Holiday-Sabbaths....All these

apparent violations of Sabbaths in the Gospel of John really show is that JESUS was

an Essene....However, at the same time, the scholars discovered HOW STRICT

the Essenes were in their Sabbath-Keeping, the men even refraining from going to the

toilet on the holy hours, but waiting until after sundown to void their bladders!

.......In addition to this knowledge available without the Pesher, the "Pesher Meaning" of

these "healings" on the Sabbath Day shows they were not real "healings" at all, but

decisions made by Jesus, as the Messiah of David of the Essenes, in regards to certain

individuals under His jurisdiction....The decisions were made in connection with these

"Sabbaths" or feast-days, much as we do today...Certainly we might promote a person,

or announce a new program for the church on a feast-day or Sabbath, as the most

appropriate time to get the word out, and not be "breaking" any holy laws by doing so!

Jesus's own answers

to the two accusations:

#1 a "You, Jesus, break the Sabbath yourself!"

Answer: "Not guilty!

Matthew 12:7 "...if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy,

and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.

8 For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day."

#1 b "You teach your disciples to break the Sabbath!"

Answer: "I don't, and you'd better not either!"

Matthew 5:19 "Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least

commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least

in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them,

the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven."

Question: What does "least in the kingdom of heaven"

really mean?

Luke 17:1 "Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that

offenses will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come!

2 It would be better for him that a millstone were hanged about his

neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these

little ones."

#2 "You, Jesus, changed the Sabbath to the first day

of the week, Sunday, before you ascended to heaven

in 40 days!"

Answer:"Not only did I not change the day of worship,

I asked my desciples to pray that when Jerusalem was

destroyed, that they not need to flee on the Sabbath!"

[This happened 40 YEARS later, not 40 DAYS!]

Matthew 24:20 "But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter,

neither on the sabbath day:..."

The new Bible Codes allow us to know exactly how the

early church regarded the Sabbath day..after the Crucifixion!

No more guessing:Sabbath in the Gospels /Acts!
