"The Crystal Coast Amphitheatre, formerly the home of the outdoor drama "Blackbeard's Revenge", was purchased from McNeil Productions in October 1986 by a group of Christian business men and women for the purpose of establishing an interdenomi- national worship and retreat center for Christians of all faiths."

"In 1986 and 1987  the amphitheatre was used for Gospel Sings with such noted groups as "The Down East Boys", "The Noblemen", Wendy Bagwell and "The Sunlighters", "The D.M.B. Band," "New Vision", Tajuana Guthrie and Sharyn Oakley.  The Gift Shoppe was used for Sunday morning and Sunday evening worship services and on Thursday nights group bible study and prayer meeting was held for the public.  "Lamb" began our 1988 activities at the Amphitheatre with a concert on May 14.   Then on Friday, June 17, the first production of "Worthy is the Lamb" premiered."

"The set for "Worthy Is The Lamb" measures over 300 feet in length and features three built-to-scale main structures: Pilate's Hall, the Temple of Jerusalem and Herod's Palace.   A replica of Mount Calvary similar to the real Calvary in Israel, the home of Lazarus, a fishing village on the Sea of Galilee, the garden of Gethsemane, the tomb and the "Judas" hanging tree completes the setting for the spectacular production of "Worthy is the Lamb."

COMMENT by Dr. Bob Holt, MD.  Without this SOUND TRACK, which was converted to a CD by the time the play opened, it would have been impossible for the CAST, composed entirely of amateurs, to have put on a play of the quality that brought back audiences, and attracted new crowds of tourists through the many summers from 1988 - 2001.
