PALM Branches strewed in

"the WAY" --

 John 12:12 "On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,

13 Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosannah; Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.

14 And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon, as it is written,

15 Fear not, daughter of Sion; thy King cometh, sitting on an ass's colt."

This more modern painting shows the crowd, which includes children, waving palm branches! Only John's account tells us these are palm branches. Palms are rare in Jerusalem, whose more temperate climate and less sunshine makes growing palms difficult. The Dead Sea area is, however, "palm country".

Mark 11:4 "And they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door without in a place where two ways met; and they loose him.

7 And they brought the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and he sat upon him.

8 And many spread their garments in the way; and others cut down branches off the trees, and strawed them in the way."

10 Blessed be the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosannah in the highest."

  
The Dead Sea Scrolls reveal repeatedly a use of the term "the WAY" as referring only to the Essenes. So John and Mark are here "conspiring" to let us know this was the Essene feast of Passover -- at Qumran

These versions of this same event reveal [by "Pesher

Codes"] that this event occurred not in Jerusalem,

and not even at the "Mount of Olives" [the surface

location] but at Qumran in the Judean Desert!

 

Luke's clue to this true meaning is that the

"stones will cry out". This occurred around

1948 - 1958 as excavations at Qumran and

other Essene sites revealed the Dead Sea Scrolls.

 

The "Consensus Group" could hardly burn or

destroy this reappearing "heretical" literature

-- so they did the "next best" thing.

They staged a major slow-down in their assigned

translation, explained away their significance,

dated them artificially to before the time of

Jesus and the Twelve Apostles, and denied at

every opportunity that Jesus had anything to do

with the Essenes or Essene theology.

 

By following various Code words and

phrases in Luke's account, the other Codes

in other places in the Gospels and Revelation

are revealed to make the total picture more

detailed and more clearly seen!
