The Lady with the Essene Calendars!

     Luke 1:1 "Forasmuch as MANY have taken in hand to set forth IN ORDER a declaration of THOSE THINGS which are MOST SURELY believed AMONG US." Dr. Barbara Thiering PhD, the lady professor of The University of Sydney (Australia) who discovered the prevalence in the Christian Gospels of the New Testament a two level code she labeled Gospel Pesher saw in these words in the first verse of Luke's Gospel this double meaning she was talking about in her 1992 book "Jesus and the Riddle of the Dead Sea Scrolls.  She wrote the book, HarpurSanFrancisco published it, I bought several copies and learned to use this "Gospel Pesher" myself, and now I can tell you what each of these highlighted words mean.  It's not what it appears to mean to all those who have read this formal dedication of his Gospel to a person named Theophilus, but indeed much more! 

     Those of us who can now read and interpret GOSPEL PESHER because of Dr, Thiering's careful and painstaking research can see that "MANY" stands for a specific group of people, in this case the Herodians who later became the Christians under the guidance of Peter and Paul.  And "IN ORDER" indicates that when those of us who discover a sequence of events and dated materials in any of the 4 Gospels preserved in the first part of the New Testament that appears to be "in order" that can be confirmed by agreement with the rest of the history we have discovered to be correct in other gospels, it will truly be "in order" historically speaking with the rest of the PESHER history.  This "ORDER" is a one-way progression, and if properly interpreted, does not GO BACK to former events but progresses on to the next event to be discussed and revealed.  Thus the TRUE HISTORY of Jesus, the 12 Apostles, and the Essene events of importance from before 7 BC to the end of the book of Acts are revealed "IN ORDER".

      "THOSE THINGS" refer to this hidden history thus revealed, but revealed only to those people who know this history is there to be found. "MOST SURELY" indicates the certainty that goes along with knowing and understanding this technique discovered and used by Dr. Barbara Thiering. And "AMONG US" does not mean among everyone who reads these words, which includes millions of potential readers over the last almost two thousand years, but only "US", we who understand and can use GOSPEL PESHER TECHNIQUE.  Jesus describes the rest of the world's population, those who haven't a clue as to what these words and phrases really mean historically with the following words, written in connection with one of his more famous parables, The PARABLE of the SOWER, in Mark,  thought by most modern critics to be the first of the Synoptic Gospels to be written."

    Mark 4:3 "Hearken;  Behold, there went out a SOWER to sow, 4 And it came to pass, as he sowed, some (seed) fell by the way side, and the fowls of the air came and devoured it uo.  5 And some fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth; 6 But when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away. 7 And some fell among thorns, and the torns grew up, and choked it, and it yeilded no fruit. 8 And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred.  9 And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear."

Mark 4:10-13   10 "And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable. 11 And he said unto them, unto you (who will be able to understand GOSPEL PESHERS) it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables. 12 That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them. 13 And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then shall ye know all parables?"

A STUDY OF CALENDARS

Dr. Barbara Thiering started down her road of discovery earlier in her teaching and research career by realizing what most researcher's know -- that the Essenes adopted the Sun Calendar of 365 days a year, and began to ignore the traditional Moon Calendar still used for religious purposes by both Jews and Arabs.  Julius Caesar made the Sun Calendar the legal calendar, which became known as the Julian calendar.                  . .    Thiering discovered that several Essene groups had variations on these two main calendars, traditional Jewish and Julian calendars.  Jesus' family used the Julian Calendar, which makes it possible to date his birth to early March of 7 BC.

NAME: Yeshua (Jesus) Son of Mary (and Joseph)

CONCEIVED: June of 8 BC (on the path to Ain Feshkha)

FATHER: "The Holy Spirit" (as Joseph the Essene)

PARENTS MARRIED: By Zacharias the Priest, in June, 8 BC

PLACE of MARRIAGE: The house of Zacharias and Elizabeth

at Ain Feshkha, 3 Kilometers south of the Qumran Monastery

BIRTHDATE: Early March, 7 BC

PLACE of BIRTH: "The House of the Queen"

1 Km. south of the Qumran Monastery, also known

as "The Manger" because animals were kept here.

     22 "Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,---"

     23 "Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is God with us.

     24 "Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: 25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS."

,And NO, Joseph WAS NOT an elderly widower with 4 grown boys from another marriage, and he DID NOT own an operate a carpenter's shop in a NON-EXISTENT (in those days) City of Nazareth in Galilee!

Following the Julian Calendar,

which Dr. Barbara Thiering correctly attached to happenings in the Essene family in which Jesus was born, she realized that this family began their days at MIDNIGHT, not at sun-down of the previous day, which is customary for Jewish Sabbaths and Feasts. This allows her to explain why Jesus exclaimed "The HOUR is come!" at midnight on March 20, 33 AD, the Julian beginning of Good Friday.

     John 17:1 "--Father, the hour is come; glorify thy son--"

     Mark14:41 "Sleep on now, and take your rest: it is enough, the hour is come; behold, the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners."

     Matthew 26:45 "--behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners."

    ---And also discover that Jesus was raised from the dead not on Sunday Morning, but soon after MIDNIGHT on that same Friday Night!  (The Samaritan Essenes had a Feast-day Schedule for Passover that allowed a "Tomorrow-Today" policy that allowed that Saturday to be treated as "the First Day of the Week") ANOTHER ESSENE CALENDAR UNDERSTOOD BY FEW OTHER PERSONS IN THE WORLD BESIDE DR. THIERING!

So, in reality -- Jesus did not spend all of Saturday, March 21, 33 AD "resting" in the grave -- but was resurrected soon after midnight and "rested" quite alive but in rather poor physical condition in the Queen's House, 1 Kilometer south of the Qumran Monastery.

       The "Pesher Meaning" of John 20:1 is not, as we have thought, that Jesus was raised at day-break, as the sun was just rising, but at Midnight, when the new day was beginning by Roman and Greek logical reasoning!  "The first day of the week (using the Samaritan skipped-day reasoning - Saturday) cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark (indeed the darkest part of the night, right after midnight), unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulcre."

     And on "Easter Sunday", March 22, 33 AD, he walked 7 miles to Mar Saba (near Bethlehem) and that evening walked the rest of the way to Jerusalem, where he offered the priestly blessing over the food at the Essene quarter next door to the Jerusalem temple.  On the THIRD DAY (Sat noon-1 day, Sun noon-2 days, Mon noon-3 days) after he was crucified in an unclean area at the Qumran Monastery 14 miles away by desert trails and wadis.

    Unusual Meanings for Greek Terms Converted by the Essenes to Mean Specific Essene Feasts and Times!

Dr. Barbara Thiering devotes a lot of Appendix to a discussion of "Pesher" Chronology on pages161 and onwards, far too much to deal with here, so I'll confine this to only such terms to be found in the Nativity Stories of Matthew and Luke. Luke 1:24 "after these days" means December solstice, in 9 BC, this was Wednesday, December 18-------------"months 5" means May, 1st of the month Luke 1:26-38 "in the 6th month" means June 1, Jewish Julian names for months.

Luke 1:39 "in the days these" 31st at June solstice --Mary arrives at Ain Feskha for her betrothal ceremony (Thiering does not write in her book that Joseph was present at this ceremony, but it was not then or ever has been the custom for a woman to become "betrothed" without the man being present at this ceremony!

Luke 1:56 "about three months" March 1, first of the Julian month 3

Luke 1:56b "returned to her own house", --Mary goes to the "Queen's House" as place of  women's separation and for birth of orphans, for birth of Jesus.

Acts 7:17 "the time of the promise" -- Sept 23, 1 AD Official Birtday of James

Acts 7:23 "40 years time" --Sept. 1, 5 AD Simeon (as Moses) comes to Ain Feshkha

Luke  1:57 "ho chronos" -- Sept. 18, 6 PM celebration of 12th birthday of John the Baptist

Luke 1:59 "in the 8th day" --Sept. 5 AD, reenactment of circumcision of John the Baptist

Luke 1:67-79 Zechariah utters a blessing over Jesus on his 12th birthday, March of 6 AD -- note that verse 69 "And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David" has to refer to Jesus, not Zechariah' own son John, because John is a Levite, not a descendent of king David.

Luke 2:11 "today" the 31st for great events -- March 19, 6 AD The village pastors ("Shepherds") accept Jesus as legitimate as part of his "Bar Mitzveh" celebration --Jesus is now 12 years old!

Luke 2:22-24 "the days of cleansing" ---Sunday, March 21, 6 AD Jesus made an acolyte.

Luke 2:25-35 Jerusalem -- Joseph and Mary arrive in Jerusalem, and in this third "Bar Mitzveh" ceremony for Jesus (now 12 years old) he is blessed by Simeon, who has replaced the slain Zechariah as the Essene High Priest.

   RETURNING NOW to Luke verse 2 we read "Even as THEY delivered THEM  unto US, which from the BEGINNING were EYEWITNESSES, and ministers  of the WORD;

      3 It seemed good to me also , having had PERFECT UNDERSTANDING of all things from the very first, to write unto thee IN ORDER, most excellent Theophilus,

       4 That thou mightest know the CERTAINTY of those things, wherein  thou hast been instructed."

Here, as before, Luke is promising US, who in the "last days" will learn how to discover and use "Gospel Pesher", that we will be getting this hidden history from EYEWITNESSES, who were there in the BEGINNING.  The WORD is here Jesus Christ, this term being used as a "Code Name" for Jesus Christ throughout the Book of Acts, also written by "Luke".

Matthew's Wise Men!

      8 "And he (Herod) sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child, and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also."

       9 "When they  had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they had seen in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was."

      10 "When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy."

      11 "And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him; and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.

      12 "And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way,"     

      NOTE THAT MATTHEW IN HIS NATIVITY STORY DOES NOT USE PESHER "DATES" AS DOES LUKE-- He doesn't need to!  The Star of Bethlehem dates Matthew's information fully as accurately as does the "Pesher" of Luke's NATIVITY story, as you will discover if you read my account here ---
