  Friday, November 13, 1992 Kibbutz Kalia

                          Didn’t sleep until well after 3 AM – Cock crowed at 3:45 AM – then slept

                   too long – awakened by knock on the door at 9:45 and told breakfast almost

                   over  -- transferred from room 37 to room 40 – paid for two more days --

 Kalia had a large swimming pool when I went there in November 1992, and still does now.  They also have a grove of date trees, having just the sort of climate that makes for very good dates.  It turns out Jesus was born in a “date orchard”!
