Rev. Chapter 17, 18

Babylon Doomed!

        Although primarily a “judgment” on the false religion promoted by the Christian Church for 2000 years (from the Gnostic viewpoint again, as in Revelation 12). Chapter 17 gives the rest of the Gnostic story of the rape of Wisdom or Barbelo by the kings of the earth.    That the book burners of Theodosius have missed this classic Gnostic presentation shows their lack of perception.    Perhaps they got so confused by the earlier imagery of Revelation that by the time they got here they were totally lost. 

The Burning of the Twin Towers on 9-11-2001  

     Starting with Revelation 18:8, the burning of the twin towers in Manhattan, New York is depicted so accurately and graphically, that even people with no experience in “Gospel Pesher” should be able to see clearly the relationship between what was forecast and what happened.   “Therefore shall her (New York’s and Washington DC’s) plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she (the World Trade center) shall be utterly burned with fire:  for strong (Allah akbar) is the Lord God who judgeth her.” (through His fanatical followers!) 

        Revelation 18:9 “And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication with her (the great port city of New York) and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they see the smoke of her burning (seen within minutes of the terrorist attack via sattelite on TV sets all over the world).  

       Revelation 18:10 “Standing afar off for the fear of her torment (and to avoid falling glass, dust, and debris), saying, Alas, alas (two alases for two towers) that great city Babylon, that mighty city!  For in one hour is thy judgment (by Al Queada and Osama bin Laden) come.”

The Goddess of Wisdom is Rescued  

Revelation Chapter 19

          Since the beginning of Revelation 12 we have followed the Gnostic story of Wisdom or Barbelo, the Goddess who created everything we see, and indeed the entire Universe!

       That Jesus Christ has been able to preserve this story in a New Testament purged of all Gnostic literature, and Gnostics themselves, is a feat worthy of all believers in Religious Toleration's admiration and respect!    In chapter 12 She, the Goddess, appears, clothed with the sun.  In chapter 17 she reappears, riding on a scarlet colored beast (verse 3) now called MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. (verse 5).  And she is judged in chapter 18 as the twin towers burn in Manhattan, New York.   And as I write this, as the original Babylon is surrounded in retaliation by armed forces of the United States and Great Britain raining fire and brimstone on MYSTERY BABYLON’s ancient home. 

       However, to all Gnostics, including the real author of Revelation,  Wisdom is pure in heart, and can and should be finally rescued.   Whether true or not, that will be the story that we are all told.    And indeed the ending any audience would vote on to end the Hollywood movie!

        The fanfare of Revelation 19:1-6 is followed by the wedding of the now pure virgin Wisdom, or Barbelo.  That Wisdom is the Holy Mother of both Yahweh and Jesus makes no difference, “the Lamb” is prepared to marry her anyway!  (No comments permitted.)

      Revelation 19:7 “Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him (the Lord God omnipotent of verse 6): for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife (Barbelo) hath made herself ready.  8 And to her was granted that she be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: (the traditional wedding dress for virgins and first marriages) for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.”

    Beginning with verse 10 we have what amounts to a list of CREDITS, as would follow any modern movie.   In verse 10, Jesus admits he is the real writer once more, and is a man, a prophet, not “God”.
