Thiering's book, page 241 "9 AM old time, noon new time -- The crosses are erected in the unclean area near the unstepped cistern (at the Qumran Monastery).(Jn 19:23-24, Mk 15:25-27, Lk 23:33-38, Mt 27:36-38).It is time for the adjustment of hours. As true 9 AM but fast noon the half-roof in the vestry is left over instead of being opened, leading to a "three hours' darkness"  John Mark's party do not make the adjustment as they use 15a (a different calendar) for unleavened bread (feast)    noon end of adjustment    3 PM (new fast time) After 6 hours on the cross, Jesus is in intolerable pain. He cries out, both asking for poison, and reproaching Jonathan (My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?) for his treachery.    The snake poison (vinegar) is brought, Jesus drinks it and loses consciousness. (Jn 19:28-30, Mk 15:34-37, Lk 23:46-47, Mt 27:46-51)

      There is neither time nor space here to get into all of the "Hidden History" of Jesus Christ Himself in the Book of Acts, after his resurrection -- but we'll move on to Paul and Apollos in 58 AD, almost 25 years after the crucifixion of Jesus Christ -- and Yes, he's showing up every few years -- still actively leading his "Church" whenever his presence is required!

Acts 18:21-28     "And a certain Jew named Apollos, born in Alexan-dria, an eloquent man, and mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus.      This man was instructed in the WAY of the Lord, and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John.      And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue; whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto them the WAY of the Lord more perfectly.      And when he was disposed to pass into Achaia, the brethren wrote, exhorting the disciples to receive him: who, when he was come, helped them much which had believed through grace:      For he mightily convinced the Jews. and that publickly, shewing by the scriptures that Jesus was the Christ." Acts 19:1-7      "And it came to pass while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,       He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed?  And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.         And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized?  And they said, Unto John's baptism.       Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentence, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.      When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.      And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them and they spake with other tongues, and prophesied.       And all the men were about twelve."

     Patrick Williams read this text and others on September 2, but of course, having never studied "Gospel Pesher" nor read Thiering's book, which relates the coded and  partly fictional stories told by Luke in Acts, and explains what they actually mean in a factual and historical way, --he had no way of knowing that APOLLOS was an Essene Zealot ("fervent in the spirit") who along with Theudas ("Nicodemus") and John Mark ("Bartholomew") were all GNOSTIC (followers of Simon Magus -- Lazarus, Zebedee, Simon Zelotes) and that the "John" here referred to was also another name for Simon Magus.   This THEOLOGY was of an Egyptian type, the clue here being APOLLOS came from Alexandria in Egypt.  The "WAY" here mentioned twice is ESSENE theology -- but the "Way" of Jesus is by 58 AD quite different from the GNOSTIC "Way" of Simon Magus.

    What we're reading here, once we properly understand it, is about APOLLOS, and 12 others, CONVERTING from following a GNOSTIC theology to Paul's Gospel, the theology that Jesus, like the Roman "Mithras" can save them by "FAITH ONLY" -- Faith in the Blood he has shed for their sins.  From "repentence" and "Good Works" to "by Faith alone" (Sola).   Now for the REAL APOLLOS story--by Thiering!

"Jesus and the Riddle of the Dead Sea Scrolls" by Barbara Thiering Published in 1992 by Harpur San Francisco still in print 25 years later as "Jesus, the Man"  Chapter Thirty-Four "THE GREAT PENTECOST"    "On leaving Ephesus, Paul began to make arrangements for the next few years, vital years for (Essene) calendar theorists.      The year AD 60 was 4000 if no zero generations were allowed. On the reckoning of some, a catastrophic event was due to take place, of the kind predicted in the (Dead Sea) scrolls and the gospels.  The SUN would be darkened (as in the Eclipse Linda and I watched on August 21, 2017), the moon not give its light, the stars would fall from heaven, and the powers of heaven would be shaken.  Then the Son of Man, the King would descend from the skies with "Great Power" (the cardinal) and "Glory" (the Bishop).       When allied to ambitions for empire, the prophecy was understood also as describing the scene when the Jews would be swept into world rule.  God would intervene to set up a Jewish emperor, either in the east or west.      The event was understood as a "birth", and the "labour pains" (called the Tribulation) would begin three and a half years beforehand.      Paul had a slightly different version of the prophecy because of the method of his calendar allowing a zero year from creation.  For him, the "labour pains" would begin in June AD 58, at Pentecost and the End (the Eschaton) would come in December AD 61.      This should be a familiar prophecy by now, 2017 minus 61=1956 years later.   Having FAILED numerous times in the First Century AD, it was fervently expected to OCCUR in 1000 AD, and by the Millerites on October 22, 1844, by James and Ellen White and a handful of their friends and followers in 1851 --- and by the "Rapture 88" Pentecostal groups September 11, 12, or 13 of 1988.  Promoted still later by the authors of the "Left Behind" books and movies, videotapes, and now DVD's you can buy a closet-full of such FAILED DREAMS for a few bucks at any Goodwill Store or religious Thrift Store.     "Early in AD 58 Paul announced that he intended to be in Jerusalem by Pentecost.  Gaining, after some difficulty, the agreement of Jesus in Corinth, he brought him (the still living Jesus) and some of the ministers to Troas, from there they would begin the sea journey to the homeland.      In Troas there was a reunion between Paul and John Mark, or Eutychus.  They had always had different opinions, especially on the matter of the Agrippa family.  But Agrippa II  was far less erratic than his father, and the personal events that had kept John Mark away from Jesus since AD 44 were now well in the past.  The story of the reunion is told in the episode of the "young man", Eutychus, falling down from a third story while Paul was preaching, being taken up "dead", and being restored to life" by Paul.       John Mark (who was now an old man) re-enacted his career, his high status as a substitute priest on the third storey of a Gentile place of worship, then his being reduced to a novice and excommunicated.  He was then formally received back by Paul and made a member of the Roman church.     The party (including Jesus) arrived in Judea in time for Pentecost, visiting both Qumran and the capital.  Tension was high on a day at the June solstice when a vindication might be expected.      With a similar purpose in mind, Apollos the Egyptian, an associate of Paul, had also come to Jerusalem.  According to his view of prophecy, built on the Exodus theme, there should be an end of the Exodus and a "fall of Jericho" in the year AD 58. But Jericho was now Jerusalem, which would fall to him as its Joshua, its commander-in-chief."     He (Apollos) came to the Mount of Olives building (owned by the Essenes), five stadia across the Kidron valley  from the city.  From here the procession of conquest, like a coronation procession, would begin.  Gesturing towards Jerusalem, he, (Apollos as "Joshua") demanded that its walls fall down."      Josephus records this as one of the many regrettable incidents of the excitable period leading to the fall of Jerusalem. Masses of the common people had followed, believing the prophecy (as they do now in 2017).  Felix, the governor, hearing of the rally, sent a large force of cavalry and infantry, slew four hundred, and took two hundred prisoners.  "The Egyptian himself escaped from the battle and disappeared."    Here's now the entire account as found in Josephus "The Antiquities of the Jews" Book 20, Chapter 8 (169) "Moreover, there came out of Egypt about this time to Jerusalem, one that said he was a prophet,  and advised the multitude of the common people to go along with him to the Mount of Olives, as it was called, which lay over against the city, and at the distance of five furlongs.  (170) He said farther, that he would show them from hence, how, at his command, the walls of Jerusalem would fall down; and he promised that he would procure them an entrance into the city through those walls, when they were fallen down.  (171) Now when Felix was informed of these things, he ordered his soldiers to take their weapons, and came against them with a great number of horsemen and footmen, from Jerusalem, and attacked the Egyptian and the people that were with him.  He also slew four hundred of them, and took two hundred alive.  (172) But the Egyptian himself escaped out of the fight, but did not appear any more."

Shocking things that can be seen in Eutychus' (John Mark's) Gospel when you're AWAKE enough to notice and understand them!

Barbara Thiering discovered, once she began comparing the Dead Sea Scrolls as they were pieced together from scraps and translated from Hebrew and Aramaic into English, with the contemporary information from Pliny and Josephus and last but not least, the Christian Gospels -- that the man called Theudas in Acts 5:36 was actually in charge of the Qumran Monastery when Jesus Christ was born near there. (The shepherds of Bethlehem of Judea grazed their sheep in the Qumran area).  The "Inn" where Mary was denied a place to have her baby is now known as the Mar Saba monastery a few miles from modern Bethlehem.  Theudas' group of Essenes (the 400 men mentioned in Acts 5:36) were known as the Egyptian Therapautae and Pliny describes their beliefs and practices in some detail.  Thiering discovered that Jesus' father Joseph husband of Jesus' mother Mary and Theudas were associated at Qumran around 7 BC and that both were active Zealots.  As becomes evident when Gamaliel reminds his listeners in Acts 5:36 that "Theudas, boasting himself to be somebody, to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves; who was slain, and all, as many as obeyed him, were scattered, and brought to naught."  Next, in verse 37, Gamaliel describes the activities of Judas the Galilean, known to be at Qumran about 10 AD and also a famous Zealot and leader of Zealots.      Acts 5:37 "And after this man (Theudas) rose up Judas of Galilee in the days of the taxing, and drew away much people after him; he also perished; and all, even as many as obeyed him, were disbursed."      Thiering continues her investigation until she finds out, to her and my satisfaction, what really happened to Joseph, Jesus' father (or to some of you, just Mary's husband).  As the associate of Theudas and Judas the Galilean, and like them a leader of Zealots, Joseph was crucified in 23 AD, 6 years before Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist.   Between 7 BC when Jesus was born, and 23 AD, when Joseph was crucified, he had fathered with the "supposed" ever-virgin Mary all of the 5 sons besides Jesus and several daughters Patrick Williams mentioned on September 9, 2017 as being "older than Jesus" and "not the children of Mary".   Which makes Patrick's assumption that many of Jesus' disciples were his "cousins" impossible in a truly literal fashion. Because Patrick Williams claims to be a true believer in a virgin birth for Jesus.  Thiering proves that these were indeed Jesus' biological brothers by finding the evidence, using Essene calendar and feast day information, mostly in Acts, that shows the actual ages of all Joseph's boys when significant events happened to them.     EUTYCHUS, as the "Beloved Disciple" was not 13 years old when he joined Peter, Andrew, and James and John the "sons of Zebedee" in following Jesus instead of John the Baptist -- but was about 30 years old -- as were all Essenes capable of holding important positions in that organization.   And 30 years later, in 58 AD, listening to Paul preach at Troas, he was about 60 years old.  In those days, a very old man.      As one of the 12 Apostles, Eutychus-John Mark was called Bartholomew.  Which is a re-lettering of Bar-Ptolemy.  The Ptolomys were Egyptian Pharaohs during the era of the Maccabees.  Eutychus-John Mark, Bartholomew was well-versed in EGYPTIAN THEOLOGY, as was THEUDAS, the leader of the "Egyptian Therapautae" and friend of Joseph's father Joseph (remember Joseph son of Jacob-Israel the prime minister of Egypt -- Joseph the dreamer and dream-interpreter? --SURE you do!)    And NICODEMUS, the Jewish leader who came to Jesus by night in John chapter 2, is another name for Theudas, also called Thaddaeus in the line-up of 12 Apostles.  Probably 60+ years old.  And not a teen-ager, Patrick! JESUS' NIGHT-TIME CONVERSATION WITH THE "EGYPTIAN TEACHER" NICODEMUS AS RECORDED BY BAR PTOLOMY John 3:16 "For God (the Egyptian SUN-GOD Osiris) so loved (Egypt and) the world that he (the Egyptian SUN-GOD Osiris) gave his only begotten Son (HORUS), that whosoever ( all Egyptians and the World) believeth in him (in Horus as "God") SHOULD NOT PERISH (without the SUN, everything DIES) BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE! John 3:17 "For God (the Egyptian SUN-GOD Osiris) sent not His Son (SUN) (HORUS) into the world to CONDEMN the WORLD, (SATURN as the JUDGE - "Chronos", the 7th Planet- God of the Jews and Saturday) ---------------------------- but that the  WORLD (not just the Jews) through Him (HORUS - JESUS) might be saved. If Constantine the Great in 325 AD could make this connection, Why can't you -- 1700 years later?

The Osiris myth described Osiris as having been killed by his brother Set, who wanted Osiris' throne. Isis joined the fragmented pieces of Osiris, but the only body part missing was the phallus. Isis fashioned a golden phallus, and briefly brought Osiris back to life by use of a spell that she learned from her father.. This spell gave her time to become pregnant by Osiris before he again died. Isis later gave birth to Horus.

John 4:7 "There came a woman of Samaria to draw water: (without an ISIS story, the theology of John 3:16,17 is INCOMPLETE, so here she is, will-hidden!) -------------- "Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink." (Sexual intercourse is not obvious here, of course. But is implied by her being here alone, and Jesus telling her that he knows all about her sordid sex life) Verse 16 "For thou hast had 5 husbands, and he who thou now hast is not thy husband." In the Osiris Myth ISIS has no husband because Set has killed him and cut him up into little pieces.  ISIS has found all these pieces but his PENIS.  So she makes for him a GOLDEN PENIS. John 4:10    "If thou knewest the GIFT of GOD (of Osiris the SUN), and WHO it is that saith to thee, 'Give me to drink', (a well-hidden offer of sexual intercourse); thou wouldst have asked of him (Jesus as OSIRIS); and he have given thee (semen) LIVING WATER (full of little moving sperm capable of starting new life). John 4:11     "The woman (ISIS) saith unto him, Sir, thou has nothing to draw with ("Jesus-Osirus, you have lost your penis!), and the well (my vagina) is deep (as a goddess, Isis is imagined as being VERY LARGE): from whence then has thou this living water?"     (The UNWRITTEN ANSWER must be supplied by YOU, the reader.  The GOLDEN PENIS of the Osiris Myth, which ISIS has fashioned herself -- by MAGIC) (The ever-loving END!)

John 11:5 "Now Jesus (Osiris-Horus) loved Martha (ISIS), and her sister, and Lazarus (here playing the role of Osiris).      9 "If any man walk in the DAY (while the SUN as "Horus" is shining), he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world." (HORUS) 14 "Then saith Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead" (Lazarus, as Osiris, has been killed by the god Set, who has cut him into little pieces).     15 "And I am glad for your sakes that I (Horus) was not there, (of course, Horus has not yet been born!) to the intent ye may believe (that I am Horus), nevertheless let us go unto him."      23 "Jesus saith unto her (Martha as ISIS) Thy brother (Lazarus as Osiris) shall rise again."    (Jesus is here merely stating a major TRUTH of the Egyptian Osiris-Horus Cult -- for Osiris is the "God of Resurrection".)      25 "Jesus saith unto her (Martha as ISIS), I (as Horus) am the resurrection, and the LIFE; he that believeth in ME (as Horus), though he were DEAD, yet shall he LIVE.      26 "And whosoever liveth and believeth in me (as Horus) shall NEVER DIE."     (At first only the Egyptian Pharaohs believed it with several pre-conditions -- you must be embalmed, and your embalmed "mummy" must be protected from grave-robbers -- ideally by a tomb or pyramid.   Later anyone who could afford embalming and the fee the priests charged for a proper burial ritual could live forever.)

Pastor Patrick Williams wasn't quite through with the APOLLOS he found in Acts yet in his sermon on September 2, 2017.   He saw an opportunity to plead for UNITY among his congregation as Paul also seems to be doing in this text Patrick read to his congregation -- some listening, others sleeping. like EUTYCHUS.  But no one so asleep that they fell off their chairs and onto the floor. 4 Versions of the Gospel 1 Corinthians 1:10-13   "Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that ye be perfectly joined together on the same mind and in the same judgment."      11 For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them that be of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.      12 Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul, and I of Apollos, and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.      13 Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you?  or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?" WELL, I WAS NOT ONLY NOT ASLEEP, BUT I WAS AWAKE ENOUGH TO SEE THROUGH PAUL'S USUAL "TRICK" HERE AND SEE HE'S NOT, AS IT MIGHT SEEM, SAYING THAT HIS GOSPEL, OFTEN CALLED THE "PAULINE GOSPEL" IS  THE ONLY LEGITIMATE AND USEFUL GOSPEL, BUT ALSO SAYING THERE ARE THREE OTHER GOSPELS FULLY AS USEFUL AS HIS -- GOSPELS FOR OTHER TIMES IN HISTORY, AND TO "SAVE" OTHER TYPES OF PEOPLE THAN PAUL HAS CAREFULLY CRAFTED HIS GOSPEL TO REACH. WHILE HE IS SEEMING TO CONDEMN "DIVISION" HE IS INSTEAD ASKING SOMEONE LIKE ME, WHO IS TRULY LISTENING AND UNDERSTANDING TO QUANTIFY AND DESCRIBE THIS "DIVISION" AND "UNPACK"  IT IN DETAIL -- SO HERE GOES!
