The Real Theology of the Only True God!
|
Before such modern pioneers in Archaeology as Rawlinson, the Wooleys and others like them, discovered and translated a lot of ancient inscriptions in plain sight (but not understood) and many more buried by sand and debris for thousands of years -- it was assumed by many in the Western World that the Bible contained the only valid historical records of mankind. Now only the most naive and poorly educated can accept that this is true. Or those convinced by religious superiors that their "eternal life" depends on turning their backs on, and closing their minds to, both facts and logic. If you are one of those in this unfortunate position, far be it from me to further complicate your life. Those thirsting for real knowledge may of course, read on! What about the ministry? To put it extremely bluntly, Job Security is much more important to ministers than is historically accurate "truth".

Those of us now allowed to study what has been
discovered, and to think about such things, and come to logical (not
religiously acceptable) conclusions, can accept the following
outline of history ---
Up until about 6000 years ago, there were indeed primitive humans, mostly naked, some of which worked in mines in Africa for the Elohim "gods". One of these "gods" named Enki decided to produce an extremely gifted human he named Adapa, who was produced in the same Sumerian laboratory as earlier humans, but by using Enki's own sperm was much smarter and more talented. Indeed, Adapa was so talented he could be taught to pilot Enki's space vehicle, and indeed on one occasion made a flight to Nibiru, the home planet of the Elohim usually far outside our solar system. There Adapa was offered "eternal life" but under conditions that he could not understand. Also the god that created him, Enki, had warned him that the Father God, Anu, would try to poison him. This was how Adapa was tricked into refusing the "bread of life" and "water of life" that would have allowed him to live as long as the gods. This story differs radically from the Genesis story in that "eternal life" was not "lost" by a woman that was tricked by a Devil disguised as a snake but instead a man which was double-crossed by his own creator-god. Who never intended for his creation to live forever. Adapa was indeed rewarded for his superior qualities by becoming the first human High Priest, wrote many books on scientific and religious subjects, and his life was extended to live many thousands of years -- much longer than the biblical "Adam" who died at the relatively young age of 930 (Genesis 5:5)
After Adapa's priesthood there were other priests and kings in a list that roughly corresponded to the list in Genesis to the patriarchs before the "Flood" but which reigned for a very much longer period of time. Our period of time of about 6000 years was a prophetic construct of the Essenes, which began their calculations at a time when the Elohim did indeed allow widespread knowledge among humans to spread in such areas as Sumer, and Egypt, and India. A Biblical author who used Jah or Yahweh as the name for his main "God" wrote a lot of our favorite stories about the time of King David and Solomon. Some think this author was a woman in King Solomon's court. One researcher has even suggested Bathsheba was that author. Bible critics now label this author as "J" because the Germans begin Yahweh with a "J". Be this author a man or a woman, it is him or her that women can blame the "sinful Eve" on, and all the trouble this has brought on women since the time of Solomon. In any case, the story is most certainly a mythical one, although it may have been inspired by either one or several of the pictures left by the Elohim of former ages, or some missing tablet that has not as yet been discovered. Jesus and Paul, the architects of modern Christianity, preferred the stories in the Book or Books of Enoch to that part of Genesis which contains the "sinful Eve" story. Indeed both Peter and Jude (Jesus' brother) quote Enoch directly. In none of the Books of Enoch is Eve blamed for "sin", but she and her daughters are tempted by angels who seduce them. These angels are named, with specific angels tempting women with specific sins. In Enoch these angels are chained by God to await final judgment at some future date. This is the part of Enoch that Peter is quoting in 1 Peter 3:19 "By which also he went and preached unto the spirits (angels) in prison (chained by God); 19 Who also were disobedient, (by seducing and tempting women), when once the longsuffering of God (the 120 years) waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was preparing,, wherein few, that is, eight souls, were saved by water." In the days of the early Church fathers, they supressed these books of Enoch because they disliked the stories of angels seducing women, and preferred the "Eve and the snake" story. Paul adapted it to a theology in which Jesus died to protect us from the wrath of a much less "compassionate" Yahweh than the Books of Enoch describe. There is an encounter with the "Tree of Knowledge" in Enoch, but it is a positive encounter, and no serpent is present. The tree is described as a beautiful tree with delicious fruit and the perfume from the flowers is what attracted both Adam and Eve to the tree. By far a better story in my opinion than that made up by "J". Ultimately I will show that Yahweh-Jehovah-Allah was not Jesus' "Father God", but that's a subject for another time. I'll be happy if some of my readers will be broad-minded enough to realize that "sinful Eve" was a myth, and a not very good one, at that. And there were other possibilities than that proposed by "J", whoever "J" might have been. But now it's time to review the Bible story of Lot, the nephew of Abraham, who chose to live in Sodom. And what happened to that unfortunate city because (supposedly) some of its street people were "gay". Can we expect similar fiery consequences to happen in America because some of our street people (and artists and congressmen, and hair-dressers) are gay? The pastor of the Westboro Baptist Church thinks so! And lets the whole world know what he and his congregation thinks! And pickets military funerals to make his point! I'm here to tell you his "theology" is NOT the real theology of the real "Compassionate God"! |

WIKIPEDIA "The Westboro Baptist Church (WBC) is an independent Baptist church known for its extreme stance against homosexuality and its protest activities, which include picketing funerals funerals and desecrating the American flag. The church is widely described as a hate group and is monitored as such by the Anti-Defamation League and Southern Poverty Law Center.. It is headed by Fred Phelps and consists mostly of members of his large family; in 2007, it had 71 members. The church is headquartered in a residential neighborhood on the west side of Topeka about three miles west of the Kansas State Capitol at 3701 West 12th Street, Topeka, Kansas.. Its first public service was held on the afternoon of Sunday, November 27, 1955. The church has been actively involved in the anti-gay movement since at least 1991 when it sought a crackdown on homosexual activity at Gage Park six blocks northwest of the church. In addition to anti-gay protests at military funerals, the organization pickets other celebrity funerals that are likely to get it media attention. The WBC is not affiliated with any known Baptist conventions or associations. The church describes itself as following Primitive Baptist and Calvinist principles, though mainstream Primitive Baptists reject the WBC and Phelps."

One can say with a great deal of certainty that the Bible does NOT recommend HOMOSEXUAL BEHAVIOR (at least not for MALES in the Old Testament) (FEMALES? Well, now, there was Naomi and Ruth ----)
By far the most damaging Old Testament Biblical Story that seems most homophobic however, is the story of YHWH sending angels to investigate homosexual goings-on in the streets of Sodom while Lot, the nephew of Abraham was living there. Richard Elliot Friedman would attribute this particular story to "J" because YHWH is used as the name for "God" but one cannot be certain that "P" (the priestly writer) did not also contribute to the story. Genesis 13:1 "And Abram went up out of Egypt (after the stay in which Abram palmed off his wife Sarah as his sister), he, and his wife, and all that he had, and Lot with him, into the south. 2 And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold. 3 And he went on his journeys from the south even to Bethel unto the place where his tent had been in the beginning, between Bethel and Hai; 4 Unto the place of the altar, which he had made there at the first: and there Abram called on the name of YHWH." 5 And Lot also, which went with Abram, had flocks, and herds, and tents. 6 And the land was not able to bear them, that they might dwell together: for their substance was great, so that they could not dwell together." 10 And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered everywhere, before YHWH destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of YHWH, like the land of Egypt, as thou comest into Zoar. 11 Then Lot chose him all the plain of Jordan; and Lot journeyed east: and they separated themselves the one from the other. 12 And Abram dwelled in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelled in the cities of the plain, and pitched his tent toward Sodom. 13 But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before YHWH exceedingly. 18 And Abram removed his tent, and came and dwelt in the plain of Mamre, which is in Hebron, and built there an altar unto YHWH." There is nothing much but ruins now in the area where Lot chose to live, and the Dead Sea, surrounded mostly by desert, and a spring at Ain Feshkha and a small oasis at En Gedi. This convinced the writers "J" and "P" that something terrible must have happened in this area, and since they detested homosexuals, they assumed that YHWH did also. And this became the reason for a special visit by angels to the population who lived in an area that before this visit was like "the garden of YHWH", able to feed all of Lot's sheep and goats, in addition to the people living in several large cities.
Three "Men" visit Abram Genesis 18:1 "And YHWH appeared to him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day; 2 And he lift up his eyes and looked, and lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself to the ground, 3 And said, My Lord, if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant. 4 Let a little water, I pray you, be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree: 5 And I will fetch a morsel of bread, and comfort ye your hearts; after that ye shall pass on: for therefore are ye come to your servant. And they said, So do, as thou hast said."
Now none of these three "men" are described here or later as having wings, nor were they dressed (in the Bible) in any peculiar or different way than other men, but soon Abram starts treating one of the three with more attention and respect than he did the other two. And when the meal was over, Abram is engaging this one unusual person in fervent conversation while the other two travel on. Even in chapter 18, this person is now identified as YHWH, whom "J" and possibly "P" has decided to identify as a hater of homosexuals. By the next chapter, when the other two visit Lot in Sodom, they are called "angels". Genesis 18:16 "And the men rose up thence, and looked toward Sodom: and Abraham went with them to bring them on the way. 17 And YHWH said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do; 18 Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him? 19 For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of YHWH, to do justice and judgment; that YHWH may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him. 20 And YHWH said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous; 21 I will go now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come up unto me; and if not, I will know. 22 And the men turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before YHWH." Next we are treated to one of the most ridiculous dialogs in the Old Testament. A dialog in which Abraham (a man) tries to talk a "God" (YHWH) into not destroying a lot of innocent people just to get rid of a relatively few homosexuals. A bit of rationality that is totally lost on Fred Phelps and the Westboro Baptist Church of Topeka, Kansas. And evidently lost on YHWH also in this story. He played Abraham's little numbers game (without cracking a smile, I suppose) then went and destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah and all the cities of the plain. "With fire and brimstone." Totally "in character", however, for a "God" that would drown all the people and animals on earth to get rid of a few women who were sleeping with angels and producing monster children. "But Noah found grace in the eyes of YHWH!" Abram was OK also as long as he stayed in his tent near Hebron and slept with his 90 year old wife, not with some young man who might have strayed from Sodom. But boy, was he surprised the next day when he went to the top of the ridge and looked toward Sodom! Genesis 19:27 "And Abraham gat up early in the morning to the place where he stood before YHWH: 28 And he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace."
IB.RU.UM (Abraham) In spite of the generous editorial liberties "J" and possibly "P" have taken in rewriting some Sumerian history to make Abraham a party to the homophopic activities of a "God" named YHWH, we now have available this part of the life of Abraham, courtesy of various excavators of ancient temples and libraries, and the clever people like Rawlinson and the Wooleys who learned to translate what these others had found. And to the painstaking work and generosity of Zechariah Sitchin, who has brought all this disjointed research together, made some sense of it, and published a series of paper-backs that even I can afford to buy.
If "J", "E" and "P" and the later "Redactor" really intended to hide their sources completely, they made a mistake when they slipped in chapter 14 of Genesis. Chapter 14 is partly real history, much of it copied directly from genuine Sumerian and Assyrian tablets written in cuneiform.
So now we can know that Abraham (IB.RU.UM) was a Sumerian general, not a simple "shepherd", and that his personal "god" was named Nannar/Sin, not YHWH. But Abraham (IB.RU.UM) worked for all 12 of the Anunaki (Elohim) -- making him indeed a very important man. We can also learn the truth of what happened at Sodom and Gomorrah, and that the destruction of these cities was by atomic weapons, and had nothing to do whatsoever with homosexuality. (Which must be good news for a significant part of our modern population!) Genesis 14:1 "And it came to pass in the days of Amraphel king of Shinar, Arioch king of Elasar, Chedorlaomer, king of Elam, and Tidal king of nations; 2 That these made war with Bera king of Sodom, and with Bersha king of Gomorrah, Shinab king of Admah, and Shemeber king of Zeboim, and the king of Bela, which is Zoar." Obviously, even without the real history we're about to get into from a cylinder seal picture and baked clay tablets much older and more reliable than J and P's homophobic YHWH story, this story is in jeopardy from the Bible record itself. The Bible record in Genesis chapter 14, which curiously is in the middle of the homosexual Sodom and Gomorrah story (Genesis 13 - 19). The kings of Sodom and Gomorrah are named as participating in this great battle, and also Zoar is listed, the place to which Lot and his two daughters fled first in chapter 19 before ending up in a cave in the mountains. (With the daughters pregnant by their drunken father Lot). Genesis 14:3 "All these were joined together in the vale of Siddim, which is (later) the salt sea. 4 Twelve years they served Chederlaomer, and in the thirteenth year they rebelled. 5 And in the fourteenth year came Chederlaomer, and the kings that were with him, and smote the Rephaims in Ashteroth Karnaim, and the Zuzims in Ham, and the Emims in Shaveh Kiriathim. 6 And the Horites in their Mount Seir, unto El-paran, which is by the wilderness. 7 And they returned, and came to Enmishpat, which is Kedesh, and smote all the country of the Amalekites, and also the Amorites, that dwelt in Hazezon-tamar." Up to now, those of us depending for our promise of "eternal life" and opportunity to wave "God hates America" and "God hates fags" signs at military funerals could care less about a lot of unpronounceable names and unheard of nations, but are vaguely bothered that maybe this major invasion by Mesopotamian Kings and their rather successful armies might be getting close to our Bible heroes, the two rich sheep-herders, Abraham and Lot. Lot, who chose to live down the hill in the "Vale of Siddim" among the homosexuals of Sodom. And here it comes in verse 8. Genesis 14:8 "And there went out the king of Sodom, and the king of Gomorrah, and the king of Admah, and the king of Zeboaim, and the king of Bela (the same is Zoar;) and they joined battle with them in the vale of Siddim: 9 With Chederlaomer the king of Elam, and with Tidal king of nations, and Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar; four kings with five. 10 And the vale of Siddim was full of slimepits; and the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah fled, and fell there; and they that remained fled to the mountain." Genesis 14:11 "And they took all the goods of Sodom and Gomorrah, and all their victuals, and went their way. 12 And they took Lot, Abram's brother's son, who dwelt in Sodom, and his goods, and departed. 13 And there came one that had escaped, and told Abram the Hebrew; for he dwelt in the plain of Mamre the Amorite, brother of Eshcol, and brother of Aner: and these were confederate with Abram."

So, historically speaking, Abram-Abraham, was not really a "Hebrew" but a Sumerian, and not other than symbolically "a shepherd", and his God was not YHWH, but Nanner/Sin (pictured above) and the other Elohim (inferred in early Genesis) and the "homophobic" YHWH does not really "show up" in the Bible until the time of Moses (perhaps). |

As a Sumerian priest as well as general IB.RU.UM regularly offered sacrifices representing the cult animals of the various gods he surved, NANNAR-SIN, Enlil, Enki, Father ANU, etc. Such a series of sacrifices, as well as the Horoscope of Abraham is explained in great detail in Genesis chapter 15.
