The STAR of BETHLEHEM

"Triple Conjunction" in 7 BC- Part 3

The Hidden Story of Joseph, Father of Jesus!

Certainty eludes us, of course, until we have found the actual star or conjunction of planets that the Astrologers in Israel, Judea, and the Middle East were really looking at.

The starry event that THEY ALL AGREED was the IMPORTANT one! And at last we have found it!

Here are the dates of three conjunctions in 7 BC according to Parpola.

First conjunction: May 27, 8am
Second conjunction: October 6, 10 pm
Third conjunction: December 1, 9pm.

This new information from BIBLE REVIEW  corresponds exactly with what Dr. Barbara Thiering PhD has found to be  the dating of Jesus’ birth coded in “Gospel Pesher.”

Perhaps it was before December of 8 BC that a Samaritan Essene, a member of the "Magians" or "Magi" who received the Babylonian visitor with his fateful clay letter, received it and was able to translate it, but not long enough before  to prevent what  already happened.  The Essene designated to father the new “Messiah” was by then betrothed, and it was rumored his betrothed was pregnant already.

Matthew  1:18 “Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph (the invisible betrothal of June 1 –17, 8 BC) before they (were supposed to come) together (in December 8 BC), she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.”

19 “Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, (read that “Essene”), and not willing to make her a publick example (and himself also, to the other Essenes), was minded to put her away privily (not marry her)”

Matthew  1:20 “But while he thought on these things, behold the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.”

21 “And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.”

And so, Mary was found to be pregnant in June of 8 BC and Joseph and Mary were married between June and September of 8 BC. When did the Babylonian Astrology letter arrive? No earlier than December of 8 BC!  And when was the "Star of Bethlehem phenomenon due to occur -- the next year in 7 BC!

First conjunction: May 27, 8am
Second conjunction: October 6, 10 pm
Third conjunction: December 1, 9pm.

“Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, enquired of them diligently what time the STAR appeared. the king had heard these things, he was troubled, sand all Jerusalem with him.

And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born.

And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child, and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also."

When they had heard the king they departed; and lo, the STAR, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.

When they SAW THE STAR, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy."

“And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.

And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way."

To Find out when JOSEPH was actually born, and how old he was in March of 7 BC, when Jesus was actually born (9 months after Mary was found to be pregnant in June of 8 BC) we must go outside of this Nativity story to the "Vision of Stephen" in Acts chapter 7.

Dr. Barbara Thiering PhD was clever enough to discover that "Stephen" in this prolonged "vision" as he was being symbolically "stoned" (excommunicated) was actually giving an accurate historical record of the Essene mission at Qumran, using the same "Qumran is Egypt" symbolism that Matthew does in Matthew's "Nativity Story".

Joseph's father, Jesus Christ's grandfather, is named Heli, the son of Matthat in Luke 3:23, 24 but named Jacob, the son of Matthan in Matthew 1:15,16.  It is clear from comparing both these genealogies, that Joseph's father had two names, like so many others of these associates of Jesus Christ in the Gospels and in Acts.   Heli of Luke, is the same man as Jacob of Matthew. "Stephen" in Acts 7:15, when he is recalling the death of the previous Jacob in Egypt is really describing the death of Jesus' grandfather "Jacob" (Heli) at Qumran in 1 AD.

People died "symbolically" at the age of 70 years old, in Essene numerology, so Heli must have been born in 70 BC, and from that we can calculate that Joseph, his son, and Jesus' father, was born in 44 BC.   Reading from page 353 of Thiering's "Jesus and the Riddle of the Dead Sea Scrolls" ---"Herod, in associating with the Essenes, was also associating with the descendents of David, or at least with Heli, a descendant of a junior branch of the Davids.  His genealogy is given in Luke 3:23-38.  Heli the son of Matthat was descended through forty generations from Nathan, a younger son of David, 2 Samuel 5:14.  Heli himself was born in 70 BC; see eteleutesen Acts 7:15, showing he was 70 in AD 1, so 26 in 44 BC at the  birth of Joseph."

"In Matthew's gospel, Heli is treated as a descendant  of the royal David line, by calling him "Jacob the son of Matthan" (Mt. 1:15).  A process of grafting a junior branch or new line onto a senior branch was well known in priestly and royal dynasties.  Matthew allows 25 generations of 40 years each, to cover the same span of 1000 years between David and Jacob-Heli, whereas Luke allows 40 generations of 25 years each, and gives the actual genealogy.  The royal generations were counted as 40 years, whereas those of a junior line were only 25 years.  Thus Jacob-Heli of the junior line was 25 at his marriage, but Joseph, after the grafting process, had to wait till he was 36."

Acts 7:14 "Then sent Joseph (meaning in this symbolism Jesus' father Joseph), and called his father Jacob (Heli) to him, and all his kindred, threescore and fifteen souls.  15 So Jacob (Heli) went down into Egypt (Qumran), and died (was 70 years old), he, and our fathers, 16 And were carried over into Sychem, and laid in the sepulchre that Abraham bought for a sum of money of the sons of Emmor the father of Sychem."

Joseph son of Jacob-Heli had to wait until he was 36 years old to father his first child because of this "new rule" the Essenes had made for him -- and he chose the much younger Mary because the Essenes also had another "birth-spacing" rule that 6 years must pass after a son was born before another son was conceived!   Also those destined to be a king were supposed to be born in September!  Jesus, born in March of 7 BC had "two strikes against him"!

Not only was Jesus born in the wrong month, but also BEFORE the "Star of Bethlehem" appeared for the first time in April-May of 7 BC!

As we read on in Acts 7, "Stephen" mentions "Moses" being born as the "child of promise".

Acts 7:17 "But when the "time of the promise" drew nigh, which God had sworn to Abraham ---"

This is a veiled or "coded" reference by Luke to the "Star of Bethlehem" phenomenon described by Matthew --- because Abraham, to Jews, is the "Father of Astrology" -- the one who Yahweh told to "count the stars" and whose children would be as numerous as the stars in the sky and the sand on the sea-shore ---

Genesis 15:5 "And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said to him, so shall thy seed be."

Acts 7:17b ---the people grew and multipled in Egypt."

There was only one son of Joseph the son of Jacob-Heli that grew in "Egypt" according to Matthew's "fled to Egypt" story, and that was Jesus --- so--- the "people" which "grew and multiplied" was --- Jesus!

Acts 7:18 "Till another king arose, which knew not Joseph (Herod the Great and his sons)

Acts 7:19 "The same dealt subtilly with our kindred, and evil entreated our fathers, so that they cast out their young children, to the end they might not live."

(Here's Matthew's "slaughter of the innocents" story, applying only to Jesus, as the only one of the proper age in Bethlehem in Matthew's story and the only one of those who "grew and multiplied in Egypt" of Luke's Acts 7:17b story)

Acts 7:20 "In which time Moses was born, and was exceedingly fair, and nourished up in his fathers house three months;  21 And when he was cast out, Pharaoh's daughter took him up, and nourished him for her own son."

(This new "child of promise" was James, not Jesus, who was unacceptable to many of the High Priests as the royal heir of King David through Joseph and Mary until 6 AD, and the Taxing described in Luke 2:1-5)

The New "Moses" was to be James the brother of Jesus, and indeed, after Jesus crucifixion in March of 33 AD, it was James who became the leader of the Essenes in Jerusalem!
