The Letter to Sardis
|
"At
first, John of Zebedee came with Jesus to the island of Patmos, off the
coast of Asia Minor. There he wrote the first part of the book of
Revelation, with letters to the seven churches of the province of Asia,
conveying the will of Jesus concerning the different problems, moral and
doctrinal, that were besetting them. The letter to Sardis, although
it seems critical, like the others, is more positive than some, because in
reality, it is about the Essenes, Jesus' own religion! |
Barbara
Thiering writes: "John wrote that he was on the island of Patmos
"on account of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus".
He was "in the Spirit on the Lord's day", that is, acting as a
presbyter on the Sunday service, when he heard behind him a loud voice
telling him to write what he saw, in a book. " I'm
contending that this was not a Sunday service, but an Essene YOM KIPPUR
service, and that John of Zebedee was only one of several authors of this
book.
Although Jesus
Christ was elected by the other Essenes to the position of the
"David King" (the Royal Messiah) of their group, he was
not always satisfied with that position. Since Rome ruled the
Western World, and the Herods were client kings under Rome, Jesus as
a "king" had little authority and not much to do. So
when he had the opportunity he played the part of a "high
priest" instead, as he is doing here in the opening scenes of
the Book of Revelation. |

SARDIS
Revelation
3:1 And unto
the angel of the church in Sardis
write: These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of
God, and the seven stars:
I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest and are
dead. 2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that
are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.
3 Remember therefore how
thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If
therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and
thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.. 4 Thou
hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their
garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy:
5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment;
and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will
confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. 6
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto
the churches,"
Jesus, of course, appeared among the Essenes at the beginning of the
fifth millennial day, which lasted from 7 BC until 1000 AD.
That is why the description of the Essenes here is so accurate and
obvious. Had the letter begun with "And unto the angel of
the Church at Qumran write:--- There would be no puzzle here at all,
and the GAME would be over!
To make it at least a bit of a challenge, the letter begins, as it
should, with astrology. But instead of 2 fishes
we have the "seven
Spirits of God". Fishes, viewed from outside the water,
are spooky things, like ghosts or "Spirits". Now you
see them, now you don't. Jesus appears and disappears in
the same way after his resurrection and in the Book of Acts.
"I have not found thy
works perfect before God." Paul altered Essene
standards for the Gentiles to make it easier for them to join his
"Easy" Essenism. Once the Roman bishops took
over even these "easy" standards were eroded to become in
effect, no standards at all.
Christianity is not described in a positive way in Revelation,
Essenism is! The word "works" or "good
works" is used 13 times, while the word "grace" is
not used even once. |
|
Once one
understands that the Essenes in the end supported a MILLENNIAL WEEK
prophecy, also shown in John chapter 7, the 8 parables of Matthew
13, and Daniel chapter 12, its possible to find the same MILLENNIAL
WEEK prophecy in Revelation chapters 2 and 3. The 5th
candle stick, standing for Sardis, also stood for the years 7 BC to
1000 AD. The first 1/2 of the "church age" or "Age of
Pisces".
